Lettuce for Lunch...a day at the aquarium

Our Day at the Aquarium...

Playing with Penguins...

Petting Sharks, Stingrays, and...

Snakes!

This turtle enjoyed lettuce for lunch
at the aquarium...we enjoyed
watching him eat it!

Matthew adores all the fish and ocean creatures!

Due to Matthew's great love of animals,
we found ourselves at the Tennessee
Aquarium in Chattanooga. We left
around 5:45 am and returned home
around 5:45 pm. It was such a fun
day! Matthew's facial expressions
were priceless! He was very thrilled
with his surprise trip!

Lots, and lots, and lots of fishies!!!

Logann was so happy, as usual...

She just took it all in!

We had so much fun with Nana!

I love making memories with my children!

(Sorry for no make-up...it's summer time!)
(Also, please note my mom, myself, and Logann
all ended
up wearing stripes, which was not
planned. What makes
this hilarious to me and my mom,
is that about a year and a half ago,
my mom and I
took Matthew to the aquarium,
and we were both wearing
khaki capris and
coral-colored shirts with brown
sandals...you may
not find this amusing, but we sure did!)

We were quite tired by the end of the day!

Playtime

As exhausting and draining as it has been, I have had so
much fun staying home with my children this summer.
I have seen many of Logann's firsts, and had lots of fun
doing new things with Matthew. Yesterday, I caught a
first on camera! Matthew and Logann actually playing
together...not just sitting in the same room, playing
near each other.

Matthew was sharing so well!

We may have to invest in some dolls for Logann!!!

Cookie Monster!

My baby Logann is a girl after my
own heart! Oh, how I do have
a fondness for cookies...any type
of cookies! Logann eyed
a box of chocolate graham
crackers
the other day, and I
gave in. Boy did she love
them.
See for yourself!

Fun at the ZOO!

Thursday was a wonderful day! I took Matthew
and Logann to the zoo. The weather was beautiful!
I was a little nervous to take both of them by myself,
but I was quite determined to have a fun trip. I got
up early earlier than I have been :) to pack
lunches, and get everything we needed for
the day ready to go. We got to the zoo around 9:45.
As soon as we walked through the gate and put on
our sunscreen, Matthew found the map we were
given, and began trying to read it. He did not let
go of that map almost all day. He had to make sure
we were seeing EVERY animal. Logann just rode
along in the stroller as happy as could be!

Matthew was really serious with the map!

After several hours, we decided to rest and have
our picnic lunch. Logann ate with us (a bottle
and some of my banana), and she continued to
be a very happy baby.

She was so happy all day!

Matthew played on the playground, rode the
carousel, and sweetly begged to visit the building
with all the reptiles, spiders, fish, and
amphibians twice!

Matthew loves animals!

After about 4 hours, Matthew ran out of steam.
I was just about out myself! We made our
way back to the car... and I had a very quiet ride
home! It was such an amazing day! I am so thankful
that God has given me these opportunities to spend
time makingmemories with my children!

I love my babies!

One animal picture of my favorite animal!
