Miss Logann celebrated her birthday a little early with family, minus Nana & Pop (since they were sick.) Logann loved all the attention. She was not sure what to do with the cake. I thought for sure she would dig right in and smush it all to pieces, but I was so wrong. She was quite the little lady. She used one tiny finger to taste little bites. It was pretty cute though! I can't believe my little girl is already one year old! She had her one year check up and is all healthy! She is in the 50th percentile in height and 50th percentile in weight. She weighed 20 lbs and 12 oz, and was 29 inches long. She says lots of words..."mama," "dada," "bottle," "diaper," "kitty cat," "tree," "that," "fish," "teeth," and her latest, "Spongebob!" She has such a temper, but is still so sweet and funny! I just love her to pieces!!!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY LOGANN! - Post #1
Logann's BIRTHday...
One year ago today, Logann was born! She was born in my car...almost! I had gone to the doctor on the 23rd, and was told I was 3-4 cm. I thought for sure my doctor would put me in, but he knew that I REALLY didn't want to be in the hospital on Christmas. I left the appointment and headed to my in-laws house for dinner. At dinner, I just didn't feel good and could not eat...no contractions though. I called the doctor at about 9:30 and told him how I felt. He told me he was on call, and that since I was not having contractions, just to wait and see what happened.
I went to sleep at about 11:30. I woke up suddenly at about 3:20, but I wasn't sure why. As I sat on the couch trying to figure out what was going on...there it was...a BIG contraction! Four minutes later, another. This lasted about 10 minutes, then they moved to every three minutes. We got Matthew up and put him in the car, along with the last few things I had not packed. By this time, contractions were every 2 minutes. It was pouring rain and very windy. We live about 30 minutes from the hospital where I was to deliver. It felt like an eternity. Matthew kept saying, "Mommy, are you okay?" I tried to reassure him as best I could, between contractions.
We arrived at the hopsital at 4:35. Of course, I had NOT pre-registered! I had to sit and sign my name multiple times even though the contractions were right on top of each other. By this point, my sister and her husband arrived. I was put in a room to be "checked." As soon as the receptionist left us in the room, I told Chris he HAD to get a nurse. She came in quickly...you should have seen the look on her face when she realized I was 10 cm!!! I was put on a stretcher and wheeled down to a delivery room. My water broke on the way! I was given an epidural...not that it had time to work! Apparently the family of the girl next to me "heard" that it did not work!!!
Logann Dulany Jones was born at 4:56 AM!!! She weighed 8lbs and 1oz, and was 20 inches long. She was absolutely perfect!

I Am Praying Today
For about a year, I have been following the blog of a very
sweet woman named Adrienne. She has endured more
than one person should while trying to start her family.
She adopted a little boy from Russia 2 and a half years
ago. They have tried to add to their family without much
success, until now. As I type, Adrienne is on her way home
from Seoul, Korea with her sweet, new baby girl, Lily
Soojung. They were so excited when they found out that
she would indeed be home for Christmas. Join me in prayer
today for safe travel for Adrienne, Lily, and Jim's mother,
as they return to the U.S. Pray for a smooth transition for
Lily, Owen, Jim, and Adrienne, as I know this will be a little
difficult. I am so happy for this sweet family. Lily Soojung is
a lucky little girl! (Here is a link to Adrienne's blog.)
I am also praying for a sweet friend who has a little boy at
Vanderbilt today. Doctors are unsure of why he is sick. Pray
with me that the doctors can help Brewer, and that the
Great Physician gives peace and comfort to Amanda and Todd.

What A Great Day!!!
Today was a full day... a full, great day! This
morning, my mom and I too the kids to Breakfast

This afternoon was Matthew's 4th birthday
party. SPONGEB@B!!! Everywhere!!!! (I am
not a huge fan of Spongeb@b. Yes, he is cute,
but I despise some of his shows.) Matthew
wanted Spongeb@b, so that's what he got!
His great-grandmother and great-grandfather,
both sets of grandparents, all uncles, and all aunts
came over for this special day! He had a blast!

my most favorite dinner ever! Yummy! What a
great end to a great day!!! I love my husband!

Mr. and Mrs. In My Dreams!
Remember when our babies looked like this...

Well, look at them now!
My best friend and I love dreaming about the
day when our babies will get married. Will this
ever happen??? Well, probably not. We do love
for them to spend time together so that at least
they will be friends. We are actually enjoying
every minute of their sweet little lives, and we
do not, in any way, want them to grow up too
fast!!! We both realize that God has great
plans for our babies...but it doesn't hurt to
dream, does it???

My Brain Hurts!
Lately, I have had a hard time trying to wrap my mind around a few things!
First, how many sicknesses can my two children get? Over the past month, we have had pink-eye, ear infections, some sort of virus, and now... a rash and fever! Seems quite hard to believe that we have been taking medicines for the last 3 weeks! Maybe we are just getting it out of the way for the holidays!?!?!?!
Second, how is it possible that my first baby will be 4 years old in just a matter of weeks? It does not seem possible. Much to my dismay, we are having a "Spongebob" birthday party this year. I tried to encourage him to chose something else, but his mind was made up! We went shopping today so that Matthew could pick out what he would like for his birthday. I have a few ideas now. A four year old...how did that happen?

Third, again, how is it possible that my baby, baby will be 11 months old this week? This makes her one year old in a month! I can remember her birth like it was yesterday. This year has passed by so quickly, but I have lots of wonderful memories! She is getting so big!
Fourth, how is it almost Thanksgiving? And then, Christmas??? Where did the year go? I guess it was filled with having a new baby, nursing, not sleeping, trying to keep my sanity, spending time with my babies, putting kiddos back in school, going back to work, taking a trip to the mountains, celebrating Halloween, watching Matthew in yet another wedding, and now getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas! Wow! Time flies!

Finally, I am quite confused as to how I have been so blessed! I have such a wonderful husband and amazing children. I have fabulous family and friends. I love my job...most days :), I am blessed more than I deserve.
